Public Health

Public health focuses on protecting and improving the health of populations through prevention, policy, and organized community efforts. It examines the patterns and causes of disease, the social and environmental determinants of health, and the interventions that reduce risk and promote well-being. The field spans epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, environmental health, global health, and health-behavior sciences. Its work guides vaccination programs, outbreak response, sanitation systems, health-education initiatives, and evidence-based policies. Public health aims to prevent illness before it occurs, reduce health disparities, and create conditions in which communities can thrive.
